How to Play 2048 Cupcakes
Your complete guide to merging cupcakes like a pro
The Goal
Slide cupcake tiles on a 4×4 grid. When two identical cupcakes touch, they merge into the next flavor tier. Reach the White Chocolate Peppermint (2048) to win — then keep playing for the legendary Rainbow (8192) cupcake!
Controls
- Arrow keys or W A S D — Move tiles (desktop)
- Swipe — Move tiles (mobile & tablet)
- Undo button — Take back your last move
- New Game — Start fresh (with confirmation)
- Settings — Toggle sound, particles, tile numbers
Scoring System
2048 Cupcakes tracks two scores simultaneously:
- Cupcake Tier — Your highest flavor reached (displayed by name)
- Kcal — Total calories earned from all merges in the current game

Winning Strategies
Corner Strategy
Keep your highest cupcake locked in one corner. Never move it away — build descending values along the edge.
Two-Direction Rule
Primarily use only two directions (e.g., down + right). This maintains board structure and prevents chaos.
Use Undo Wisely
Our undo feature lets you recover from mistakes. Use it when a random tile spawn blocks your merge chain.
Build Combos
Chain multiple merges in succession to build combo streaks and maximize your Kcal score per move.
Achievements to Unlock
Reach milestones to earn achievement badges: first merge, tier 512, tier 1024, winning at 2048, reaching Rainbow 8192, 100 moves in one game, and 5000 Kcal in a single session.
